Tough loss for our Mariners tonight at T-Mobile Park . The Astros managed to pull off a 4-2 victory despite some resilient moments from our team.Early Innings: Defensive Battle
The game started off slow, with both teams struggling to get on the scoreboard. In the bottom of the 1st inning, Victor Robles singled to left and stole not just one, but two bases! Unfortunately, Julio RodrÃguez and Mitch Garver couldn't capitalize, leaving us scoreless.Astros Draw First Blood
The Astros managed to get on the board in the 4th inning. Alex Bregman scored off an infield single from Jeremy Peña. Kudos to George Kirby for holding the damage to just one run that inning.Mariners Take the Lead
The 6th inning was a beacon of hope as Julio RodrÃguez drilled a two-run homer to left field after Victor Robles drew a walk. That majestic shot put us ahead 2-1!Astros Respond
Our lead was short-lived, however. In the top of the 7th, Jake Meyers hit a two-run homer, putting the Astros back on top 3-2. Then, in the 8th inning, Yainer Diaz added insurance with a solo home run, making it 4-2.Missed Opportunities
We had our chances late in the game. In the 7th, Mitch Haniger drew a walk, but pinch-runner Jonatan Clase was picked off first. In the 9th, Clase walked again, but Luke Raley’s strikeout ended our hopes of a comeback.Conclusion
