Tough Loss to the Astros
Well, Mariners fans, it was a rough game for us as we fell to the Astros 11-3 at home. Even though we had some electrifying moments, like Julio Rodríguez showing off his speed by stealing bases in the 3rd inning, we just couldn't keep up with the Astros' firepower.Early Promise, Late Struggles
The first half of the game showed promise with Jorge Polanco driving in two runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning, giving us an early 2-0 lead. Julio Rodríguez added to our lead in the 4th inning with a clutch single, scoring Mitch Garver. But after that, the Astros got hot. Christian Walker and Taylor Trammell both hit homers in the 6th inning, making it tough for our pitching staff.Bouncing Back
Despite our best efforts to rally—Crawford doubled in the bottom of the 9th, giving us a glimmer of hope—we couldn't capitalize and push runs across. Kudos to Mastrobuoni for keeping the fight alive with multiple hits. Baseball is all about process, and I'm confident our Mariners will bounce back stronger.
