Exciting Victory for the Jays!

What an incredible game, Blue Jays fans! We pulled off a thrilling 7-6 victory over the Houston Astros. Let's break down the action-packed moments that had us all on the edge of our seats at the Rogers Centre. 🎉

Hot Start and Strong Lead

We got off to an amazing start in the first inning. After Vladimir Guerrero Jr. walked and advanced to second on a wild pitch, Justin Turner brought him home with a single. George Springer then dazzled us in the third inning, hitting a three-run home run after another round of solid hitting from Spencer Horwitz and Guerrero Jr.. Daulton Varsho scored another run in the 4th inning thanks to a double by Addison Barger, giving us a solid 7-0 lead by the end of the 4th inning.

Astros Battle Back

But of course, the Astros didn't just roll over. In the 5th inning, Jose Altuve's RBI single and Yordan Alvarez's three-run homer cut our lead to 7-5. Despite these hiccups, our pitching staff hung in tough. José Berríos was relieved by Nate Pearson, who gave us a much-needed boost by retiring the side in the 6th and 7th innings.

Nail-biting Finish!

The 8th inning saw another nerve-wracking moment as Yordan Alvarez reached third base due to a couple of errors but was brilliantly contained to just one run, leaving the score at a tight 7-6. The defense held strong, and in the 9th inning, Kevin Kiermaier returned to center field to help lock it down. Chad Green took over pitching duties and struck out the last two batters, including the pinch-hitter Trey Cabbage, to seal the win!

We held on through a tense final inning to clinch the victory. What a game, and what a win! Let's keep this momentum going, Jays! 💙🏟️
