Road Blues in Baltimore

Well, Royals fans, it was a tough one today in Baltimore as we fell to the Orioles 0-3. Despite a couple of promising moments, we struggled to find our rhythm and capitalize on opportunities. It seemed like luck just wasn’t on our side today. ⚾

Offensive Struggles

Our boys had a hard time breaking through. Michael Massey provided some glimmers of hope with a double in the second inning and a single in the seventh, but we just couldn't drive him home. Freddy Fermin managed a couple of singles, while Bobby Witt Jr. and Vinnie Pasquantino couldn’t quite find their stride today. As the innings rolled on, we hoped for that game-changing hit, but alas, it didn’t materialize.

The Seventh Inning Saga

The dreaded seventh inning is where Baltimore took control. Ryan O'Hearn hit a two-run homer that was followed by Emmanuel Rivera’s RBI single, giving the Orioles a 3-0 lead. Our pitching change didn't shift the momentum as we had hoped. Despite our infield efforts, the Orioles lineup retaliated effectively to close the inning with a lead we couldn't overcome. 😟

Looking Ahead

The loss in Baltimore was a lesson in resilience. There's always a silver lining—the team kept fighting, and the bullpen held the Orioles to just three runs. As we regroup, let's keep the faith in our Royals lineup. Better days are on the horizon, and we'll be rallying behind our boys until we see those victories stack up once more! Let's stay hopeful, Kansas City! 💙
