The Royals took an early lead in the fourth inning when Vinnie Pasquantino homered, giving them a brief window of hope. However, the Guardians quickly reclaimed momentum in the bottom of the fourth with Gabriel Arias' infield single that brought Carlos Santana home to tie the score. Fast forward to the sixth, and Arias hit a home run to ensure the Guardians stayed ahead.
In the eighth inning, Guardians fans were off their seats with excitement as Angel Martinez showcased his prowess, hitting a ground-rule double that allowed Kyle Manzardo and Jhonkensy Noel to storm home. And then, a wild pitch enabled Arias to score, pushing our lead to an unstoppable 6-1. How sweet it is!
Securing the Win
Despite a late attempt from the Royals during the ninth inning, where they managed to score twice, our reliable closer Emmanuel Clase sealed their fate, ending the game strongly by forcing a ground out.
