Royals Start Strong in Cleveland
The Kansas City Royals were quick to get on the scoreboard during the top of the 1st inning. After an infield single by Maikel Garcia, Vinnie Pasquantino followed with a single to left, advancing Garcia to second. Our enthusiastic heartthrob, Bobby Witt Jr., unfortunately struck out swinging, but our soon-to-be hero, Jonathan India, reached on an infield single. This allowed Garcia to come home and give us an early advantage!
Guardians Fight Back
Cleveland didn't take long to respond. After a quick rally in the bottom of the 1st, Kyle Manzardo slammed a homer to right field, bringing George Valera across the plate as well. Suddenly, the Guardians pulled ahead, but not for long! Our defense remained resilient as we limited further damage from Cleveland. Royals: 1, Guardians: 2
Hustle Pays Off for Kansas City
The Royals knew they needed to seize an opportunity to reclaim the lead, and it came during the top of the 3rd inning. Bobby Witt Jr., ever the speedster, singled and stole second base, setting the stage for Vinnie Pasquantino's heroic single that brought Witt Jr. home and tied the game. With Salvador Perez doubling to left, Pasquantino moved to third, but unfortunately, we couldn't capitalize on the additional scoring opportunity. Royals: 2, Guardians: 2
Royals Snatch the Lead Again
In a thrilling turn of events in the top of the 7th inning, Tyler Tolbert entered as a pinch-runner and made his mark with some impressive base running. After Nick Loftin’s single to left and a catching error, Tolbert dashed home, leveling the score. Then, Maikel Garcia came through with a double to left field that brought Loftin home, securing the lead and sealing the fate of the game! Royals: 4, Guardians: 3
Closing It Out
Though the Guardians threatened our lead, our bullpen delivered some solid relief pitching. With Trevor Estévez on the mound, the Royals maintained their composure and made sure to close the door on any Cleveland comeback bid. Hats off to Royal’s relievers for their excellent work in these stressful innings! The final batter, Steven Kwan, lined out to left field, securing the Royals' victorious end to this nail-biter. Final Score: Royals 4, Guardians 3!

What a game! Kudos to the Royals for battling it out and coming away with a triumph on the road. Onward to the next challenge, and let's keep this momentum rolling, Kansas City!
