The Royals didn't waste any time putting pressure on our boys. The first inning saw Maikel Garcia and Bobby Witt Jr. setting the table for the Royals with key singles, quickly putting 2 runs on the board.

The initial innings were a bit of a struggle for our beloved team, managing just one run by the bottom of the 2nd inning thanks to Matt Vierling's keen eye and Zach McKinstry's explosive triple to right. Our offense seemed to be hibernating until the 7th inning rolled around.
