Royals Strong Start

The boys came out swinging early, especially in the top of the 2nd inning. A huge homer by Michael Massey got us on the board. Not long after, Kyle Isbel doubled to right field, setting up Jonathan India to bring him home with a single to center. Bobby Witt Jr. kept the momentum going with a thrilling triple that scored India, and Vinnie Pasquantino added another single, bringing Witt Jr. home. We jumped to a 4-0 lead, and the Royals fans couldn't be happier!

Maintaining the Momentum
The 3rd inning saw our guys putting on more pressure. Rookie Drew Waters contributed with a crucial single to left, allowing Massey to score. With the bases loaded, India came through again, scoring Cavan Biggio and extending our lead even further. Witt Jr. added a sacrifice fly to enable Waters to score. By the end of the 3rd inning, our Royals were on top 7-0. What a start!
Astros Fight Back, But Royals Stand Tall
The Astros started to show some fight in the later innings, notably in the 7th when they scored twice with the help of Meyers and Dezenzo. There were some shaky moments in the 8th inning—a pesky error and wild pitches allowed the Astros to close the gap to 7-5.
But our bullpen held it together when it mattered most. The top of the 9th was scoreless for us, but Carlos Estévez came in to shut down the Astros in the bottom half, despite an early hit by Altuve. With precision pitching, he got Walker and Diaz out to seal the deal.
Royals fans, raise a glass and celebrate with a round of applause for the boys in blue! Here's to keeping this momentum going into the next game!
