Royals Battle in Close Contest
Royals fans, it was a nail-biter today as we faced off against the Houston Astros. Although we started strong and showed resilience, the game slipped away in the final moments with a heart-stopping 2-1 loss. Let's break down today's action from our boys in blue!
️Promising Start, Fermin's Key Hit
The first half of the game was a defensive showcase from both sides, with neither team able to score until the 5th inning. That's when Freddy Fermin came through: he knocked a clean single to right, sending Maikel Garcia home and putting us Royals ahead 1-0!
The Astros' Response
Unfortunately, the Astros answered back when Jeremy Peña hit a solo home run in the 6th, tying the game at 1-1. Our defense kept the pressure on, but in the bottom of the 9th, the Astros' Isaac Paredes hit a walk-off homer, sealing the game 2-1.
Despite the outcome, our Kansas City Royals played with heart and hustle. Let's keep our heads up and look forward to the next game!
