Royals Dominate Dodgers for Delectable Win!
What a game, Royals fans! We just hammered the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-2 and boy, did it feel good! Let’s break down the action inning by inning.
Early Innings: A Sluggish Start
We started off slow, with Maikel Garcia and Bobby Witt Jr. both failing to get on base in the first inning. Vinnie Pasquantino walked, but no runs for us. The Dodgers had a similar fate as Mookie Betts was the only one to reach base but got out in a double play!
Middle Innings: Fireworks Begin!
In the fourth, Vinnie Pasquantino singled and Freddy Fermin doubled, setting up Nick Loftin to ground out but still bring Pasquantino home. The Dodgers responded with two runs, but our boys fired back in the sixth inning thanks to MJ Melendez. With bases loaded, Melendez hit a clutch 395-feet homer bringing in Pasquantino, Nelson Velázquez, and Fermin. ️
Sealing the Deal
Our defense stood strong. In the seventh, Garrett Hampson hit a triple, and with Bobby Witt Jr. driving in another run and Nelson Velázquez hitting a sacrifice fly, we extended our lead to 7-2. The Dodgers just couldn't catch up with us.
Strong Finish
The final innings saw no mercy from our pitchers. Schreiber and Long took care of the seventh, Anderson came in for the ninth and made sure the Dodgers had no chance of comeback.
What a performance from our Royals! This should get us all pumped for the rest of the season. Let’s savor this sweet victory. Go Royals!
