Tough Day at Dodger Stadium
Well, Royals fans, it wasn’t the outcome we hoped for as our boys struggled against the Dodgers and ended up with a 0-3 loss. The game kicked off with high tension as both teams were kept even for the first two innings.Pitcher's Duel Early On
The action was pretty quiet in the early innings. Maikel Garcia and Vinnie Pasquantino both struck out swinging in the top of the 1st, while Bobby Witt Jr. lined out to right. The Dodgers had a chance with runners on the corners but our defense came through brilliantly with a double play to keep it scoreless.Ohtani's Power Display
The Dodgers broke the deadlock in the bottom of the 3rd when Shohei Ohtani blasted a massive 451-foot homer to center. Our pitching kept us in the game despite this setback, but Ohtani struck again with another homer in the bottom of the 6th, followed swiftly by a solo shot from Freddie Freeman. Ouch!Bats Stayed Quiet
We couldn't get much going with the bats, as evidenced by several strikeouts and groundouts. MJ Melendez had a single in the 3rd but was erased quickly on a double play. Bobby Witt Jr. did manage an infield single and stole second in the 4th, but sadly, we couldn't convert.Late Chances
In the top of the 7th, Vinnie Pasquantino led off with a single to center, and Salvador Perez moved him into scoring position, but once again, we couldn’t capitalize. Freddy Fermin struck out to end the threat, and the innings continued without much offense from our side.Pitching Changes
Brad Keller started strong, but after Ohtani’s second homer, we had to go to the bullpen. Albert Abreu, Carlos Hernandez, and Taylor Clarke came in to relieve and did well to contain further damage.Final Push
Last efforts in the 9th couldn’t light up the scoreboard. With Bobby Witt Jr. walking and advancing on fielder's indifference, Salvador Perez’s final line-out ended our faint hopes. The Dodgers’ bullpen, led by Evan Phillips, shut us down effectively.Stay strong, Royals Nation! We’ll regroup and come back stronger in the next matchup.
Let's keep cheering for our Royals!
