A Painful Night at the Ballpark
Fellow Brewers fans, tonight's matchup against the Kansas City Royals was a tough pill to swallow. Despite our hopes and cheers from the stands, the Royals came out swinging and managed to secure an 11-1 victory over the home team.
Early Struggles
The game didn't start in our favor, with the Royals quickly jumping ahead with three runs in the top of the first inning. The highlight for Kansas City was a ground rule double by Massey, scoring India. Troubling signs continued into the second inning when Garcia homered, making it 4-0. Our batting lineup, featuring stars like Jackson Chourio and Christian Yelich, struggled against the Royals' pitching, with strikeouts in key moments. It wasn't until the bottom of the 7th that Isaac Collins sparked a bit of hope with a double, followed by Chourio driving him in, scoring our lone run of the night.A Challenging Evening on the Field
Our pitchers had a rough night with Garrett Anderson and Luis Peguero unable to stop the bleeding in the 7th inning as the Royals racked up six more runs, bringing the score to 10-0. Although Salvador Perez homered to start the inning, errors compounded the inning's woes for our Crew.Looking Ahead
Brewers nation, it’s games like this that test our spirit. But remember, every tough game is a chance to learn and improve. With the talent on our roster, it's only a matter of time before we bounce back. Let’s rally around our team and look forward to a stronger performance in our next match!
