The game started off strong for our Oakland Athletics as Max Schuemann walked, followed by a double from JJ Bleday that brought Schuemann home! We quickly added another run with a sacrifice fly by Brent Rooker, sending Bleday home. By the end of the first inning, we were already leading 2-0!Royals Bounce Back in the 2nd Inning
The Royals tied it up in the 2nd inning, unfortunately, due to a fielding error by Schuemann and a homer by Nick Loftin. But that didn’t faze us! It's baseball, and we knew we could build the momentum again.Gelof's Power Blast!
The 3rd inning saw a fantastic performance from Zack Gelof, who singled and later stole second. With a timely double from Bleday and an infield single by Miguel Andujar, we scored two more runs. Gelof continued his stellar performance in the 4th inning, hitting a 393-feet homer to bring in three runs, putting us ahead 7-2. Gelof's contributions were key tonight!Defense Holds Strong
Our pitching staff and defense showed their mettle throughout the game. Adams, Nittoli, Erceg, Alexander, and finally Miller, all came in to shut down any momentum the Royals tried to build. The standout defensive plays and strategic pitching changes kept the Royals from mounting a significant comeback.Closing it Out Like Champions!
Despite a few hiccups in the later innings, our boys held strong. The Royals managed to add two runs in the 8th inning, making it a bit tense at 7-5. However, our defense remained solid, and Miller came in to close it out, retiring the side in the 9th inning. In the end, a well-fought game saw the Oakland Athletics coming out on top with a final score of 7-5. This was a fantastic team effort, and I couldn't be more proud of our boys. Let's keep this momentum going! #RootedInOakland
