A Promising Start with Salvador Perez Leading the Charge! 
Hey, Royals fans! It seemed like we were in for a glorious night when our boys jumped to an early lead against the Phillies in the first inning. Vinnie Pasquantino kicked things off with a crucial double, setting the stage for Maikel Garcia to bring him home. But the true power play came from our captain, Salvador Perez, who hit a stunning homer to push our lead to 3-0. Starting off strong like this is what we love to see! 
Phillies Rally and Edge Ahead
Despite our solid start, the Phillies didn't back down. They clawed their way back into the game, tying up the score by the 5th inning and then taking the lead with a homer from Kyle Schwarber and a timely double from Otto Kemp. It's never easy to see the opposing team fight back, especially when we started with such promise. But you know what they say, any lead isn't safe until the final out!Final Innings and a Tough Loss
Our guys gave it their all, with an impressive effort in the 8th inning. Jonathan India doubled, and Carter Jensen did his part to send him home. Still, the Phillies maintained their lead, and despite some solid attempts, our rally fell short. A final score of 8-6 stung, but our Royals showed fight every step of the way.
