Tough Loss for the Angels Against the Orioles
Oh, Angels fans, tonight was one of those games where you hold onto the early excitement only for it to slip away in the later innings! It all seemed to start well with a blast off the bat from our man, Nolan Schanuel.
Early Promises Fade Away
After we tied it up in the third, thanks to other nifty work by Zach Neto and a wild pitch by Orioles' Povich, the game level at 2-2, spirits were high. Unfortunately, as the innings went on, our lineup couldn't put the pieces together when it mattered the most. A fantastic opportunity in the 7th inning with bases loaded and just one out felt like destiny was on our side, but it simply wasn't meant to be as both Jo Adell and pinch-hitter LaMonte Wade Jr. fell to Orioles' pitcher, unraveling that game-changing chance.Orioles Take Control
The Orioles retaliated with power in the latter innings, led by Gary Sánchez hitting a three-run homer in the 7th that shook our confidence, and then Westburg put the game far out of reach with a homer in the 8th. The Angels tried to claw back with Taylor Ward and Jorge Soler taking their shots, but Orioles' bullpen was lights-out, making it a frustrating 2-11 loss for us. Let's pack up, keep our heads held high, and get them next time, Angels! Remember, baseball is a marathon, not a sprint.
