The Angels were off to a slow start with the bats until the 3rd inning, where the breakthrough came. A key hit by Jo Adell, followed by a walk to Chris Taylor, set the stage. Zach Neto capitalized with a single, driving in Adell, and a Red Sox error allowed additional runs from Taylor and Nolan Schanuel to put three on the board!
Neto was instrumental in the 10th, reaching third and scoring the winning run thanks to a fortuitous error and a timely grounder from Taylor Ward. Our execution under pressure made all the difference. 
Stellar Pitching and Defensive Plays
A big shout-out to our pitching staff and defense for keeping a talented Red Sox lineup at bay, especially in extra innings. While the Red Sox threatened with a 2-run homer by Ceddanne Rafaela in the 6th to tie the game, our bullpen held strong. Special mentions to Hector Neris and Reid Detmers who shut Boston down in the late innings to secure the victory. Detmers was ice-cool in the 10th, shutting down any chance of a Boston comeback.
