Heartbreaking Loss in Boston
What a rollercoaster of a game! Our Los Angeles Angels came out swinging against the Red Sox at Fenway Park, but despite the powerful offensive showcase, we couldn't clinch the victory. The game ended 11-9 in favor of Boston.
Hot Start for the Halos
We jumped out to a commanding 4-0 lead during the top of the first inning. Zach Neto got things rolling with a leadoff double to left, followed by Nolan Schanuel's double that brought Neto home. Stars like Mike Trout and Taylor Ward stepped up big time, with Trout singling and Ward hitting a tremendous homer to left center, adding three more runs to the board. Our bats were HOT!
Pitching Woes and Red Sox Rally
In the bottom of the first, the Red Sox answered back with five of their own, taking the lead with hits from Wilyer Abreu and clutch doubles from David Hamilton. From there, it was a tight back-and-forth affair. We regained the lead but saw it slip again thanks to consistent Red Sox pressure. Our pitching struggled to keep them quiet, and Ceddanne Rafaela’s two-run homer in the ninth sealed the deal, leaving us heartbroken.
Valiant Effort But Falling Short
It was a valiant effort by our lineup. Hats off to Neto, Ward, and Schanuel for their standout performances at the plate. Logan O'Hoppe came through with a crucial RBI single during the fifth. Despite tough pitching outings, our team kept fighting.Let's keep our heads up, Halos. We'll bounce back stronger!
