Rockies Fall to Angels in Tough Pitched Battle
The Colorado Rockies took on the Los Angeles Angels today in a highly anticipated match-up. While the Rockies put up a solid effort, the Angels managed to squeeze out a 3-0 win. Despite the loss, there were some bright spots and moments of hope for our Rockies.

Defensive Highlights and Missed Opportunities
The game started off with a bit of drama as Mike Trout reached first on a catcher's interference. However, our defense quickly recovered with a slick double play. In the bottom of the 2nd, Jordan Beck singled to center and even managed to steal second. It looked like we had a rally cooking, but an unfortunate double play dashed our hopes that inning.Tough Breaks Against the Angels' Offense
Despite our best efforts, the Angels found ways to capitalize. In the 2nd inning, Taylor Ward launched a homer to left-center, putting the Angels up 1-0. Later, Nolan Schanuel and Mike Trout hit homers in the 6th and 8th innings respectively, demonstrating the tough challenge our pitchers faced. Both hits were absolute bombs that put the Rockies further behind.

Rockies' Offense Shows Spirit
While the scoreboard didn’t reflect our hustle, the Rockies showed determination at the plate. Hunter Goodman was a standout today, collecting a couple of singles including one in the bottom of the 9th that pushed Mickey Moniak to third. Additionally, Blaine Crim worked a critical walk in the 9th inning, giving us a glimpse of a potential rally. Alas, it was not our day as Jordan Beck grounded into a double play to end it.
Though today's game didn't go in our favor, there’s always tomorrow. Let’s rally behind our Rockies and look to bounce back stronger than ever! Go Rockies!
