An Electrifying First Inning
The Detroit Tigers wasted no time in showing the Los Angeles Angels who’s boss with an incredible first inning performance.
After a quiet start from the Angels, the Tigers' offense lit up the field! Kerry Carpenter got the rally rolling with a crucial double to left, and Riley Greene followed suit with a single to right that brought Carpenter home, putting us on the board! Soon after, Zach McKinstry hit a single to score Spencer Torkelson, setting the tone for a dominant Tigers' performance. A solid 2-0 start for Detroit! 
Middle Innings Mayhem
The Tigers kept the momentum alive in the 4th, capitalizing on an error by Angels' second baseman Christian Moore. Gleyber Torres hit a sharp single driving in Javier Báez to make it 4-0, but it was Kerry Carpenter's three-run homer that truly electrified Comerica Park! His blast to right field brought Colt Keith and Torres home, stretching our lead to an impressive 7-0. The Angels tried to respond in the 5th with a two-run homer from Nolan Schanuel, but the Tigers weren't about to lose control.
Clinching the Victory
In the 6th inning, Riley Greene stepped up with power, smashing a two-run bomb to secure a decisive 9-3 lead
. Though Luis Rengifo managed a late homer in the 8th for the Angels, it wasn’t enough to threaten our commanding six-run margin. The bullpen did the rest for Detroit: Michael Fulmer, Tommy Kahnle, Rafael Montero, and Will Vest shut things down, sealing a 9-5 victory. A stellar showcase by our Tigers, both on the mound and hitting-wise today!
