A Tough Loss in Houston

Fellow Angels fans, today was a valiant effort, but unfortunately, we slipped to the Astros at Minute Maid Park with a final score of 7–3. Despite the loss, there were some highlights worth celebrating! 🎉

Early Fireworks 💥

The game started with a bang as our very own Taylor Ward smashed a 393-foot homer to left. It was the perfect way to set the tone early for the Halos! Only moments later, Nolan Schanuel joined the party with another homer in the 2nd inning. They gave us an early 2-0 lead, bringing the energy we love to see.

Bumps on the Road

Unfortunately, the Astros struck back hard in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Isaac Paredes delivered a three-run homer that pushed the Astros into a 5-2 lead, which was tough to shake off. Despite our pitching changes, the Astros managed to tack on two more runs by the 7th inning. We were eager to catch up but were held at bay by their strong defense and pitching.

A Fighting Spirit

But don't despair, Angels fans! Jorge Soler reminded us why we love this game so much with a solo blast in the 6th inning, shortening the deficit. Even in the late innings, Schanuel sparked some hope with a single in the 9th, showing that the Angels never quit.

Looking Forward

A hard-fought game didn't go our way today, but there were flashes of brilliance from our lineup that we can take pride in. Let’s carry the positives and get ready for the next match. Go Halos! 👼⚾

Onward and upward! Let's come back stronger in the next game! 💪🔴⚾
