Hey Angels fans! What a great game! Our boys pulled off an important win against the Royals today with a final score of 9-5! Here’s the breakdown of how it all went down.Early Struggles, But Steady Defense
In the 1st inning, Taylor Ward reached second base thanks to an error by Hampson, but unfortunately, we couldn’t capitalize with Zach Neto and Kevin Pillar going down. Thankfully, our defense held steady and stopped any early threats from the Royals.Third Inning Progress, Tied at 2-2
Our pitching and defense stayed strong through the 3rd, but Vinnie Pasquantino and Hunter Renfroe tied the game for the Royals in the 4th inning, scoring two runs. Still, our pitching unit kept it tight, leaving the score at 2-2.Neto’s Heroic Homer in the 6th
Zach Neto brought the heat in the 6th inning with a massive 424 ft. homer, giving us a lead. Logan O'Hoppe and Anthony Rendon followed up with key RBIs, putting us ahead 5-2 and turning the game in our favor.
