What a thrilling game, Halos fans!
Our Los Angeles Angels managed to pull off a 3-2 victory against the Dodgers in a nail-biting extra innings showdown. Let's dive into the key moments of this incredible game!First Half Highlights
The game started quietly with a scoreless first few innings. Our boys had a couple of promising moments, with Luis Rengifo stealing both second and third in the top of the 1st, but we couldn't capitalize early on. Both teams were locked in a pitching duel until the 5th inning.Dodgers Break the Ice
Shohei Ohtani couldn't contain himself and launched a 455-foot homer to right-center in the bottom of the 5th, scoring Austin Barnes. The Doyers took a 2-0 lead, but our Angels weren't about to give up.Angels' Resilient Comeback
The top of the 6th saw a flurry of activity. The bases loaded with Rengifo, Taylor Ward, and Logan O'Hoppe, then drama ensued! Zach Neto got hit by a pitch, scoring Rengifo. Mickey Moniak grounded out but managed to drive in Ward, tying the game 2-2!Tense Extra Innings
From the 7th inning onwards, both teams’ defenses tightened, preventing any further scoring. That is, until the top of the 10th. Jo Adell advanced to third on Nolan Schanuel's sacrifice. Then, Taylor Ward came through with a clutch single to left, driving Adell home and giving us a 3-2 lead. Ward even stole second, but we couldn't add more insurance runs.Closing It Out
Heading into the bottom of the 10th, Jimmy Herget came in and was lights out! Cavan Biggio ran for Miguel Rojas, reaching third, but our defense held strong. Andrew Velazquez showed nerves of steel, striking out the final out.Final Thoughts
