Starting Strong in the First Inning
The game didn't start off exactly as we'd hoped. Our hitters couldn't get anything past the Giants' defense in the top of the 1st inning. Nolan Schanuel and Kevin Pillar both failed to bring home Luis Rengifo, who managed a double. Unfortunately, the Giants took an early lead with a two-run homer by Heliot Ramos in the bottom of the inning.
Mickey Moniak’s Power in the 2nd Inning
We began to see some light at the end of the tunnel in the second inning. Mickey Moniak crushed a solo home run that went 423 feet to center field, cutting the Giants' lead in half. This was a much-needed morale boost!
Shaky Moments in the 5th Inning
The 5th inning brought some turbulence as Curt Casali's double and Austin Slater's walk set the stage for Ramos again, who hit an RBI double. Thankfully, Wilmer Flores and Jorge Soler were unable to drive in more runs. We were now down 3-1.
O’Hoppe’s Heroics in the 6th Inning
Logan O'Hoppe brought the magic back in the 6th inning with a massive 467-foot two-run homer, tying the game at 3-3. This was the pivotal moment that sparked our resurgence!
Rengifo Takes the Lead in the 7th Inning
In the top of the 7th, Luis Rengifo stepped up at just the right moment. After Nolan Schanuel walked and advanced to third base on a throwing error, Rengifo singled to center, giving us a 4-3 lead. He also stole second, showing some aggressive base running.

Closing It Out in Style
The 9th inning was nail-biting, but our bullpen held firm. Carlos Estévez came in to close the game and managed to strike out pinch-hitter Michael Conforto and Patrick Bailey flew out. Heliot Ramos struck out looking to seal the deal. Game over, Angels win 4-3!
What a rollercoaster of a game, but we emerged victorious. Our boys showed great resilience and clutch hitting when it mattered the most. On to the next one! Go Angels!
