Angel's Early Lead
We started off strong! In the top of the 1st inning, thanks to a single by Luis Rengifo and a beautiful RBI single by Kevin Pillar, we took an early lead 1-0. Nolan Schanuel added to our momentum with a solo homer in the 2nd inning to make it 2-0.
Giants Come Roaring Back
Unfortunately, the bottom of the 4th inning turned into a nightmare for us. The Giants exploded with seven runs, and it all went downhill from there. Wilmer Flores and Austin Slater came through big time, and Jorge Soler capped it off with a 3-run homer. By the end of the inning, we were trailing 9-2.
Couldn't Regain Control
Our struggles continued as Slater homered in the 7th inning, and the Giants scored seven more runs through the 8th inning to make it 13-2. Despite our pitchers trying to contain them, the damage had already been done.Late Rally Falls Short
In the top of the 9th, we saw a glimmer of hope. Singles from Willie Calhoun and Logan O'Hoppe, along with Michael Stefanic's double, drove in a few runs, but it wasn't enough. We scored 4 runs to make it 13-6, but the rally ended when Luis Guillorme struck out looking.Final Score: 13-6, Giants Wins.
