Victory for the Angels! 🎉

The Los Angeles Angels triumphed over the Seattle Mariners with a final score of 3-1! It was a nail-biting game, but our boys pulled through in the end! Let's break down how the match unfolded.

Slow Start at the Plate

The game started quietly for the Angels. In the top of the 1st, both Anthony Rendon and Nolan Schanuel grounded out, while Taylor Ward did manage a single but was left stranded as Willie Calhoun struck out looking. The Mariners, however, got an early lead when Cal Raleigh singled in J.P. Crawford, making it 1-0 by the end of the first inning.

Pitcher's Duel Through the Middle Innings ⚾️

The middle innings saw some solid pitching from both sides. Our hitters found it challenging to get on base, with strikeouts and groundouts dominating the scoreboard. Logan O'Hoppe was hit by a pitch twice, but we couldn't capitalize until later.

Clutch Play in the 8th and 9th Innings🚀

The breakthrough came in the top of the 8th inning. Jo Adell walked and then advanced to third on Anthony Rendon's walk. Both then executed a double steal, putting them in perfect scoring position. Taylor Ward hit a sacrifice fly to bring Adell home and tie the game at 1-1.

The top of the 9th was where we sealed the deal! After two quick outs, Brandon Drury and Zach Neto both walked. Then, Jo Adell singled to center and, thanks to a throwing error by center fielder Victor Robles, Drury and Neto scored, making it 3-1 Angels!

Closing it Out Shut-Down Style💪

Carlos Estévez came in to close out the game in the bottom of the 9th. He shut the door on the Mariners, getting Cal Raleigh, Mitch Garver, and Dylan Moore out in quick succession to secure the win for the Angels.

This was a fantastic effort from our team, especially with clutch performances in the late innings. Let's keep this momentum going! Go Angels! 😇🔴⚾
