Tough Loss for the Angels in a Nail-Biter
Ugh, Angels fans, that was a tough one to swallow.

Things started out less than ideal with a grand slam from Jose Caballero in the bottom of the 1st, instantly putting us in a 4-0 hole. Ouch! But hey, our guys didn't let that dampen their spirits! Kyren Paris was a standout today, smashing two homers, one in the 2nd inning and another in the 8th to keep us in the mix.
Inching Closer - Seriously, So Close!
Our lineup kept pressuring all game. The mighty Taylor Ward went deep with a solo shot in the 4th inning, and Jorge Soler joined the party with a blast of his own in the 5th! We were storming back, cuttin' that lead and making it juicy. Alas, Yandy Díaz answered back with a homer in the 7th to pad the Rays' lead to 5-3. But never underestimate our fight. Paris teed one off again just when we needed it most in the 8th, shrinking their lead to one.
The Final Push
We entered the 9th with hope in our hearts. Unfortunately, despite a candid effort, Travis d'Arnaud pinch-hit unsuccessfully for Kevin Newman, and despite Nolan Schanuel hustling with a walk, Mike Trout ended the game with a foul out. We were one clutch hit away. So close.

Let's keep cheering for our Angels, folks. We've got the heart and soul, and we'll get 'em next time!
