Rough Night Against the Dodgers
Last night's game was a tough one for us Diamondbacks fans as we faced off against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The game started with the Dodgers quickly getting on the board when Freddie Freeman doubled to bring in Mookie Betts. Our defense held strong afterward, but their early 1-0 lead set the tone for the game. Our Offense Struggles
Our lineup struggled against the Dodgers' pitching. In the first inning, Josh Naylor managed to get on base with a walk, and Pavin Smith singled, but unfortunately, we couldn't capitalize with runners on. Throughout the innings, our bats seemed to be asleep, failing to bring in any runs until the seventh inning when Jose Herrera doubled and brought Alek Thomas home. Unfortunately, that was the only highlight from our side, as the Dodgers' bullpen shut us down for the rest of the game.
Dodgers' Power Surge
The Dodgers couldn't be contained, with Freddie Freeman hitting a homer in the 7th inning. Mookie Betts continued the trend in the 9th with a home run, along with additional scoring from Will Smith and Andy Pages. Our relievers tried to keep us in it, but the Dodgers kept adding to their lead, closing it out with an 8-1 final score in their favor. While it wasn't the result we hoped for, we'll shake this off and come back stronger in the next game. Go Diamondbacks!
