Tough Game in Atlanta
Dodgers Nation, tonight was a rough one as we squared off against the Atlanta Braves. The final score was 6-2 in favor of the Braves, and it seemed like we just couldn't get any momentum going. Let's break it down.Starting Inning Blues
The game started with Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts both flying out. Freddie Freeman showed some promise with a walk and later stole second, but we couldn’t capitalize as Teoscar Hernández struck out swinging to leave him stranded. In the bottom of the 1st, the Braves took an early lead. Matt Olson hit an RBI double, scoring Jorge Soler. It was only 1-0, but the tone was set.
Second Inning Woes
The bottom of the 2nd inning was where things really went south. Gio Urshela hit a two-run homer, followed by Jorge Soler smacking another two-run homer. Just like that, we were down 5-0. Our boys were having a hard time keeping the Braves' bats in check. Some Light in the Tunnel
Finally, in the top of the 3rd inning, Miguel Rojas hit a 420-foot homer to left, putting the Dodgers on the board. Another run came in the 4th when Tommy Edman singled, scoring Teoscar Hernández. But that’s all we could muster.Late-Inning Struggles
The Braves added one more run in the bottom of the 8th with a double from Michael Harris II, scoring Whit Merrifield. We couldn’t generate any more offense in the final innings, despite several pitching changes and some hits sprinkled in. Raisel Iglesias closed the door on us in the 9th inning, leaving us scoreless.Bright Spots & Moving Forward
There were a few bright spots, like Miguel Rojas' homer and Freddie Freeman's steal. However, we need to tighten up and bring more firepower to the plate. Hats off to the Braves, but we know we can do better!Keep the faith, Dodgers fans! We'll get them next time. #DodgersForever
