Tough Loss to the Dodgers
Hey O's fans! Unfortunately, it wasn't our day as we took on the mighty Dodgers. Despite our fighting spirit, we couldn't overcome the early power surge from their superstars which eventually led to a 5-2 defeat.
️Game Overview
The Dodgers got off to a hot start with an immediate homer from Shohei Ohtani in the first inning. We kept it tight, but the top of the third saw back-to-back homers from Ohtani again and Mookie Betts, setting us back at 3-0. By the fourth inning, a pickoff error saw the Dodgers tacking another on the board.
Our Boys Fight Back
In the bottom of the 6th, Emmanuel Rivera gave us hope with a solid double that brought home Gunnar Henderson. Then, Alex Jackson doubled to score Rivera, narrowing it to 4-2. Our momentum was stirring, and you'd feel the excitement!
Closing Stages
Despite our late charge, the Dodgers edged another run in the ninth. We gave it our best, and Jorge Mateo managed a single, but unfortunately, the comeback wasn't to be. The game wrapped up as we fell 5-2 to a talented Dodgers side. It was a spirited attempt from our crew, and I know we'll bounce back. Keep your heads up, O's fans! We know the grit and passion in our boys, and we'll be roaring back stronger. Let's keep believing!
