A Promising Start for the Dodgers

The Dodgers came out swinging in the top of the first inning with Shohei Ohtani launching a homer to center field, sending that baseball a glorious 414 feet! Right after, Teoscar Hernandez followed up with a homer of his own, adding another run with his 387-foot shot to left.👏 It was a fantastic start, and it seemed like the boys were in prime position to take control of the game! The Dodgers were up 2-0 at this point.

Red Sox Rally Back

Unfortunately, the bottom of the second saw the Red Sox returning the favor. Jarren Duran tripled to center, sending both Trevor Story and Carlos Narvaez home, and just like that, the score was tied 2-2. A sacrifice fly from Abraham Toro brought Duran home, pushing the Sox ahead 3-2. Surely a bit of a setback for us, but there’s always more baseball to be played! ⚾

The Game Slips Away

By the fifth inning, except for Teoscar Hernandez walking and Freddie Freeman's strikeout, the momentum wasn’t in our favor. Alex Bregman reached on a single leading to a Roman Anthony double that scored Bregman and extended the Red Sox lead to 4-2. Despite some pitching changes and new plays, we couldn’t regain that early momentum. Our bats were silent, and even introducing Mookie Betts didn’t change our fortunes in the 9th inning. 😓

Valiant Effort but Not Our Day

Despite the best efforts and strong opening from Ohtani and Hernandez, the Dodgers fell short today with a final score of 4-2 in favor of the Sox. It’s always difficult to see a game slip away after such an energetic start, but let’s hold our heads high. We’re still LA, and there are more games and victories ahead! 🌟 Onward to the next one, and let’s get that W! 🏆
