Tough Loss in Cleveland for the Dodgers
Our beloved Dodgers put up a valiant effort against the Cleveland Guardians today, but unfortunately, we fell short with a final score of 4-7. It was a rollercoaster ride for sure, and while the game might not have ended in our favor, there were definitely moments to highlight.
Dodgers Grab Early Lead
After going down early, Will Smith and Andy Pages made sure our bats lit up at the top of the 4th inning. Smith struck with a double to center, allowing Teoscar Hernández to cross home plate and tie up the game. Not long after that, Pages landed a single to right, taking us to a 2-1 lead. Our guys kept it going with another run in the 6th as Freddie Freeman singled to right, bringing Mookie Betts home.
️Guardians' Furious Comeback
From there, it looked like we had things in the bag with Enrique Hernández's nice hustle, sprinting home on a wild pitch in the 7th. But, the Guardians came back with a vengeance in the 8th inning. Angel Martinez's homer was the nail in the coffin, tallying three runs and cementing their lead at 7-4.
Dodger Highlights
Even though Shohei Ohtani had a quiet game, we know he’ll bounce back strong. Freeman and Smith were in fine form today, driving in the runs that kept us competitive. Despite the outcome, our team gave it their all.
