Tigers Show Grit in Close Loss Against Dodgers
Fellow Tigers fans, what a rollercoaster of emotions tonight!
Hot Start for the Tigers
The game began with our guys setting the pace. Justyn-Henry Malloy singled, Matt Vierling's walk, and Riley Greene's double drove in two runs right off the bat. Mark Canha followed up with a walk. Unfortunately, Jake Rogers and Javier Baez were unable to bring any more runs home, but we ended the first inning strong with a 2-0 lead.
Adding to the Lead
In the 2nd inning, after Ryan Vilade walked, Malloy continued to show his prowess with a clutch triple, making it 3-0!
A Rocky Middle
The Dodgers narrowed the lead in the 4th inning. After a solo homer from Freddie Freeman, they managed another run with Teoscar Hernández scoring on a single from Andy Pages. Our defense held strong, but the score was now 3-2.
The Game Ties Up
By the 8th inning, the Dodgers managed to tie it up at 3-3. Despite Victor Reyes's switch at right field and Brendan Reilly's efforts on the mound, they kept chipping away, showing why they're a formidable team.Heartbreak in the 9th
The 9th inning was a nail-biter! Shohei Ohtani's ground-rule double brought another run in, making it 4-3. Though our team showed resilience, we couldn’t grab those crucial runs in the bottom of the 9th. Keith and Wenceel Perez walked, giving us hope, but the final outs eluded us. The game ended 4-3 in favor of the Dodgers.Looking Ahead
Even though the Tigers came up short, our team showed grit and determination.

Onward and upward, Tigers fans!
