What a Comeback! Tigers Take Down the Dodgers in a Thrilling 9th Inning
Last night's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers was an absolute rollercoaster, but our Detroit Tigers showed incredible resilience to pull off a dramatic 4-3 victory!Rocky Start, Glorious Finish
The game started off a little rough for us. The Dodgers came out swinging, and by the end of the first inning, we were down 3-0. Shohei Ohtani was surprisingly quiet, but Will Smith and Teoscar Hernández did some early damage. A throwing error by Zach McKinstry didn’t help our cause either.Steady Defense Keeps Us in It
Both teams settled into a defensive rhythm by the second inning. Will Vest, Jason Foley, and Alex Lange did an exceptional job out of the bullpen to keep the Dodgers from adding to their lead. Meanwhile, our bats were mostly silent until Gio Urshela hit a sacrifice fly in the 4th inning to score Colt Keith. The 9th Inning Magic
With our Tigers still down 3-2 in the bottom of the 9th, Zach McKinstry ignited the rally with a clutch triple to right field. Enter pinch-hitter Justyn-Henry Malloy, who came through with a single to center to drive McKinstry home and tie the game. Things got even crazier with back-to-back fielding errors by Dodgers’ pitcher Ramírez, which allowed Ryan Vilade and Malloy to advance. Then, Wenceel Perez laid down the perfect sacrifice bunt, scoring Malloy and clinching the game for us.Player Shoutouts
