The game started with solid defense from both teams. Even though Shohei Ohtani got a double in the top of the 1st, our pitcher kept his cool with key outs. The bottom of the 1st was quickly retired, with Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman, and Yordan Alvarez unable to get on base. However, things took a turn in the bottom of the 2nd. Yainer Diaz singled to right and Jeremy Peña managed to advance him with some smart baserunning. Joey Loperfido then stepped up with an RBI single to bring Peña home, making it 1-0!

We saw some fireworks in the 3rd inning! Alex Bregman sent the ball flying over the left field fence for a solo homer (390 feet), extending our lead to 2-0. The Dodgers couldn't muster much against our pitcher, who was in fine form. The bottom of the 4th was when we really took control. Peña doubled to left, setting the stage for Jon Singleton to blast a 403-foot homer to right, bringing the score to 4-0. Jake Meyers added another hit, showcasing our depth at the plate.
Late Innings: Sealing the Deal
As the game progressed, our bullpen held the Dodgers in check. Ryne Stanek and Hector Neris were lights out, striking out batter after batter. We added an insurance run in the 8th inning when Meyers doubled and Mauricio Dubón, pinch-hitting for Loperfido, followed it up with an RBI double to make it 5-0.In the top of the 9th, Scott](last name Scott)'s dominant pitching closed the game out in style.
