Tough Loss for the Dodgers

What a roller coaster of a game, Dodgers fans! 😟 Our boys fought hard, but we fell short in the end against the Astros with a final score of 7-6. It's tough to swallow, especially given how well we started.

Early Momentum

We came out strong with Cavan Biggio doubling in the second inning to bring home Enrique Hernandez, putting us on the scoreboard first. Then, in the third inning, Shohei Ohtani blasted a massive homer, extending our lead to 2-0. 🚀

Building the Lead

The fifth inning saw our offense really clicking. Gavin Lux and Teoscar Hernandez drove in runs, pushing our lead to 4-0. Ohtani chimed in again in the sixth, driving in Enrique Hernandez to make it 5-0. Things were looking great!

Astros Rally

Unfortunately, the Astros came alive in the bottom of the sixth. They chipped away at our lead, scoring four runs in the inning and suddenly making it a 5-4 game.

Late-Inning Drama

Cavan Biggio once again showed his power, smashing a solo homer in the top of the eighth to give us a bit of breathing room at 6-4. However, the Astros responded with another rally in the eighth, tying the game at 6-6.

Heartbreaker in the Ninth

We had our chances in the top of the ninth, but couldn't cash in. Miguel Vargas, now at first base, and the rest of the offense couldn't get anything going. And then, disaster struck when Alex Bregman homered in the bottom of the ninth to give the Astros the walk-off win.

Final Thoughts

It's hard to lose a game like this, especially given how well our guys played early on. The bats were alive, but the bullpen couldn't hold the lead. We'll need to regroup and come back stronger next game. Let's keep our heads up, Dodgers Nation! 💙
