Tough Start for the Dodgers

Oh boy, what a start to the game! The Dodgers couldn't quite get it going at the top of the first inning, with Shohei Ohtani grounding out and Mookie Betts managing a single before we saw quick outs by Freddie Freeman and Will Smith. Meanwhile, the Angels struck early with a solo homer from Zach Neto. Tough to see the Angels on the board so soon.😟

Dodgers Struggle to Find Rhythm

As the innings rolled on, the Dodgers struggled to make an impact against the Angels' defense. By the end of the 5th inning, the Angels had piled on the runs. Mike Trout and Yoan Moncada both delivered RBI singles to push the score to 6-0. Our bats were having a quiet evening, with Max Muncy and Andy Pages not finding any luck at the plate. It just wasn't the Dodgers' day up to this point.😕

A Late Burst of Hope

The Dodgers finally showed signs of life in the 8th inning. Shohei Ohtani sparked hope with a huge home run to right center, followed by a spirited single from Mookie Betts. Then, Max Muncy slammed a three-run homer, bringing the Dodgers back into it with a score of 7-4. This mini-rally hinted at a possible comeback! 💪

Closing It Out

Despite a valiant effort in the 8th, it wasn't enough. The Angels managed to shut us down in the top of the 9th with Joely Jansen smothering our bats one last time. It ended 7-4 in favor of the Angels.

A frustrating night for us Dodgers fans, but keep the faith, fellow fans. There's always the next game to rally and show why we're the best in L.A.! 💙⚾
