Marlins Take Down Dodgers in a Thrilling Game!
What a rollercoaster of emotions! Our Miami Marlins battled it out against the Los Angeles Dodgers and emerged victorious with an 11-9 win. This game had everything – a strong start, some tense moments, and a nail-biting finish.Hot Start for the Fish
We came out swinging in the bottom of the 1st inning. Xavier Edwards got us going with a single to right, followed by Connor Norby also reaching base. Jesus Sánchez brought in the first run with an infield single, and it didn’t stop there! In quick succession, Jonah Bride added another RBI, making it a solid 2-0 start.Early Command, but Dodgers Fight Back
By the end of the 2nd inning, we had extended our lead to 4-0 with runs from Nick Fortes, Norby, and Sánchez again. But alas, the Dodgers weren’t backing down. A two-run homer by Shohei Ohtani in the 3rd inning and subsequent hits by Muncy and Edman brought the score to an even 4-4.Trading Blows and Big Hits
The 4th inning was a back-and-forth affair with both teams trading runs. Otto Lopez stepped up with a solo homer for us, but Dodgers' Miguel Rojas quickly answered with a home run of his own. Our resilience showed as Norby, Sánchez, and Kyle Stowers combined to reclaim the lead, ending the 4th inning 7-5 in our favor.Holding the Lead
Despite a scare in the 7th when Dodgers closed the gap to 9-7, our bullpen held strong. Evan Bender and Nick Cronin kept the Dodgers at bay, with Rider Tinoco coming in to close it out in the 9th.Insurance Runs to Seal the Deal
In the 8th inning, we got those crucial insurance runs. Jake Burger blasted a two-run homer (415 feet!) bringing home Cristian Pache, who had pinch-run for Sánchez. Those runs were vital as the Dodgers made one last push but fell short.Final Thoughts
What a win! Shoutout to Jesus Sánchez and Connor Norby for their consistent contributions, and Jake Burger for that huge homer. Our bullpen did a fantastic job in high-pressure situations.Way to go, Marlins! Let's keep this momentum rolling!
