Ohtani's Early Fireworks 🎇

The game in Milwaukee started on a high note for us Dodgers fans as our very own Shohei Ohtani blasted an incredible homer to center field, traveling an impressive 431 feet! What a way to set the tone early, putting the Dodgers ahead 1-0 in the top of the first inning. Unfortunately, the rest of our lineup couldn’t capitalize further during the inning, but it seemed like a promising start! 🚀

Dodgers Pitching Holds, But The Brewers Rally

By keeping the Brewers scoreless for the next couple of innings, our pitchers gave us hope that our thin lead could hold. Rojas showed some spark with a double in the third, but once again, our boys couldn't push any more runs across the plate. In the bottom of the 4th inning, the Brewers' bats came alive. Despite some stellar pitching early on, the Brewers scored twice, taking a 2-1 lead. 😔

Missed Opportunities and Brewers Extend Lead

We had our chances to respond, especially when Ohtani and Betts reached base in the 6th, but the Brewers' defense held strong, cutting off any potential rally. As the innings progressed, frustration grew as our bats couldn't find rhythm against Milwaukee's pitching. Their bullpen kept us at bay, and sadly, Frelick added another run to the Brewers' lead in the 8th with a solo home run, effectively sealing the game at 3-1. 😩

Heading Home with Lessons Learned

Despite the disappointing result, seeing our guys battle on the field always brings a sense of pride. Let's hold onto the positives like Ohtani's spectacular start and focus on regrouping for the next showdown. We’re still in it! On to the next one, Dodgers fans! 💙⚾
