️A Pitcher's Duel to Start
The day began with both teams setting an unyielding tone on the mound. Our bullpen was rock-solid in keeping the Dodgers at bay in the early innings. Aaron Ashby and Quinn Priester were crucial in the first few innings, striking out big names like Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman, while the Dodgers' pitching staff equally silenced our bats with Christian Yelich and William Contreras striking out in the first inning. The first five innings had no runs from either team, but boy were they intense!
Dodgers Break the Deadlock
The game remained scoreless until the 6th inning when Freddie Freeman decided to shake things up with a homer to right field, adding a painful tally to the Dodgers' side of the scoreboard. We saw some great defensive work from our side like Sal Frelick's grounded outs and our double-play effort, but it just wasn't enough to stop the initial Dodgers' advance.Late Inning Drama
We had our chances going into the bottom of the 9th. Desperate to score, Isaac Collins worked a walk—it turned out to be exactly what we needed. Jake Bauers smashed a ground rule double, bringing Collins to third and getting a run in the works. Then our brave young slugger Jackson Chourio stepped up and sacrificed to score Collins, making it a 2-1 game, lights flashing and hearts racing.Christian Yelich then showed his hustle by stealing second, getting into scoring position. With bases loaded and anxiety running high, it was down to Brice Turang. Unfortunately, he struck out swinging—leaving us just one run short of taking it to extra innings.

Despite the cutthroat competition and our admirable efforts, today's game concludes with a 2-1 win for the Dodgers. Although it stings to be on the losing end, it was a hard-fought game, and there are positives to build on.
