The Los Angeles Dodgers put on a show in New York, effortlessly shutting out the Mets with an 8-0 victory! The game was a pure display of strategic play and power hitting by the Boys in Blue. After a quiet first inning, the Dodgers unleashed their prowess in the second. A couple of fielding errors by the Mets and some smart base running by Max Muncy and Teoscar Hernandez allowed the Dodgers to take an early lead. In the top of the 6th, Enrique Hernandez hit a monstrous 378-foot home run, adding two more runs to the tally. Not one to be left out, Shohei Ohtani joined the party with an impressive 397-foot homer in the 8th, bringing home Smith and Hernandez, and extending the lead to 7-0. The Dodgers' pitching staff was just as brilliant on the mound as the hitters were at bat. Walker Buehler was replaced by Michael Kopech in the 5th, who was then followed by stellar performances from Ryan Brasier, Blake Treinen, and Nick Casparius. They collectively silenced the Mets' lineup, consistently getting out of jams and keeping the Mets scoreless. The Dodgers' defense was near flawless, and their effort sealed the game emphatically.
