Tough Day at Citi Field
My fellow Mets fans, today was definitely not the outcome we were hoping for as the Dodgers toppled us 10-2 at Citi Field. The excitement kicked off when Mark Vientos tied the game with a rocket to center field in the first inning. It was a promising start, but unfortunately, things took a turn from there.Hard-Hitting Dodgers
The Dodgers came out swinging, with Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts putting on a show. Ohtani led off with a homer in the first, and Betts added a two-run blast in the sixth to extend their lead. Our pitchers had a tough time containing them, and some costly walks made matters worse. Boys, we'll get 'em next time!Opportunities Missed
While we had our moments, we couldn't capitalize on opportunities to close the gap. The bases were loaded in the sixth, but a flyout and a subsequent substitution fizzled our chances. Props to Francisco Lindor and Brandon Nimmo for getting on base, but luck wasn't on our side today.Despite today’s setback, we’ll dust ourselves off and come back stronger in the next one. We bleed orange and blue, and the season isn't over yet. Let's go, Mets!
