Phillies' Early Lead

The Philadelphia Phillies started the game strong with a bit of luck on their side. Trea Turner doubled to the left and soon after scored the first run of the game thanks to a throwing error by Dodgers' pitcher Yamamoto. Phillies fans couldn't be happier seeing our beloved team take an early lead! 😄 After Bryce Harper struck out and Alec Bohm grounded out, the Phillies ended the first inning ahead, 1-0.

Building on the Lead

The game progressed with both sides displaying strong defense. Our boys maintained this lead until the 7th inning, when things really started to heat up! Max Kepler drew a walk and Nick Castellanos drove him to third with a timely double.

J.T. Realmuto struck out, but Bryson Stott stepped up to the plate and singled to left, bringing Kepler home. Castellanos followed suit soon after when Brandon Marsh grounded out to second, extending the Phillies' lead to 3-0. 🙌 This was exactly the kind of determination and skill that makes us proud to be Phillies fans!

Holding on to Victory

The final inning was nerve-wracking. The Dodgers showed some fight when Tommy Edman hit a two-run homer in the top of the ninth, closing the gap to 3-2. But fear not, Phillies fans! Jordan Romano came in to relieve and ultimately secured our victory.

A key moment was Mookie Betts getting on base but later being part of a dramatic double play that squashed the Dodgers’ momentum at the last moment as Max Muncy struck out swinging and Chris Taylor was caught stealing.

Our Phillies fought hard and held onto their lead, finishing with a 3-2 win against the Dodgers. This was a brilliant display of teamwork and resilience! 🎉 Go Phillies! ❤️⚾
