The Dodgers Struggle in Philly
The Los Angeles Dodgers faced a rough game against the Philadelphia Phillies, losing 10-1.Slow Start for the Dodgers
In the top of the 1st inning, our bats couldn't convert early opportunities. Shohei Ohtani and James Outman struck out swinging, and although Will Smith managed a single, the inning ended without any runs. The Phillies also had a slow start in their half.A Shaky 2nd Inning
The 2nd inning was tough for the Dodgers as Phillies’ Rafael Marchan singled to right, scoring Brandon Marsh. A wild pitch and a throwing error helped the Phillies grab a 3-0 lead. The Dodgers’ struggles at bat continued with three straight groundouts.Turner and Stott Make It Worse
The 4th inning saw the Phillies widen their lead. With bases loaded, Trea Turner hit a grand slam, pushing the score to 8-0. Then Bryson Stott hammered a solo home run. The Dodgers couldn’t find momentum as Teoscar Hernández and Lux struck out.Biggio’s Effort
In the top of the 5th inning, Cavan Biggio managed to score the only run for the Dodgers with a solo homer to right-center. Unfortunately, Freddie Freeman and the others couldn’t capitalize further that inning.Late Game Blues
The Phillies scored their final run in the 7th with a homer from Brandon Marsh. Our relief pitchers had moments of promise, but the offense couldn't get past the dominant Phillies' bullpen. Attempts by Austin Barnes and others didn't yield additional runs.Wrap Up
