First Inning Woes
The game began with a quiet first inning for both teams. Our Jorge Soler, Austin Riley, and Matt Olson couldn't get the bats going, with Marcell Ozuna providing the lone single. The Marlins mirrored our effort, leaving the score at 0-0.Missed Opportunities
Despite some promising positions, we couldn’t capitalize. In the third inning, Riley doubled to center, but Soler was thrown out at home . Ozuna struck out to end the inning, leaving us still at 0-0.Marlins Surge Ahead
The fourth inning was a nightmare. The Marlins scored 6 runs, highlighted by a 3-run homer from Bride. Max Fried struggled and was relieved by Luke Jackson but the damage was done. We trailed 6-0.Offensive Struggles
From the fifth inning onward, our bats remained cold. Even with Riley and Murphy managing to get on base, double-play balls and strikeouts shut down our attempts to score. The Marlins added another run in the 8th to seal the game at 7-0.Pitching Relief Holds Strong
Our bullpen did a solid job after the rough fourth inning. Jackson, Aaron Bummer, and A.J. Minter held the Marlins scoreless after the early onslaught.Final Thoughts
