Marlins Edge Past Royals in a Thriller! 
What a nail-biter, folks! The Marlins pulled off a thrilling 2-1 victory over the Royals, and I am still buzzing with excitement. Let's break down how our boys managed to steal this win!
Struggles Early On 
The game started slow for our Marlins. In the top of the 1st inning, Jazz Chisholm Jr., Bryan De La Cruz, and Josh Bell all went down without a hit. Meanwhile, the Royals struck early with Maikel Garcia walking and eventually scoring on a single by Vinnie Pasquantino. After the 1st inning, we were down 1-0.
Pitching Duel 
Both teams had great pitching performances through the middle innings. While our hitters struggled, the Royals were kept in check thanks to some stellar plays. Maikel Garcia and Bobby Witt Jr. tried to rally for KC, but our pitchers held the line beautifully. Special shout-out to AJ Puk and Huascar Brazoban for keeping us within striking distance.
7th Inning Magic 
The top of the 7th inning was where we turned it around! Jake Burger and Otto Lopez set the table. Lopez's double and eventual advancement to third put us in a prime position. Nick Gordon stepped up and delivered, allowing Lopez to score with an infield single, tying the game at 1-1.
Then, Ali Sánchez hit a single, moving Gordon to second. An infield single by Jazz Chisholm Jr. and a throwing error allowed Gordon to score, giving us the lead at 2-1!
Holding the Lead 
Despite some tense moments, including Salvador Perez singling and Dairon Blanco running for him in the 9th inning, we kept our cool. Tanner Scott relieved in the bottom of the 9th and held off the Royals to secure the victory.
Final Thoughts 
This was a hard-fought win, and it showcased the resilience of our Marlins squad. Every play, every at-bat, and every pitch counted today. Fantastic work, team! Let's carry this momentum forward and continue the winning streak!
