A Triumph in Anaheim: Angels Defeat Marlins 7-4
Hey Angels fans!
Early Inning Excitement
Things started heating up in the bottom of the 2nd inning when our very own Taylor Ward blasted a homer to right, covering 368 feet, giving the Angels an early 1-0 lead. It was a sign of great things to come!
Building Our Lead
We didn't stop there! The 4th inning saw Nolan Schanuel and Yoan Moncada set the stage before Ward hit a clutch sacrifice fly to bring Schanuel home. Logan O'Hoppe followed it up with a key double that let Moncada cross the plate, pushing us to 3-0!The 6th inning poured on more runs as we took advantage of Marlins' mishaps, including a catcher's interference that allowed Schanuel to score again. By the end of that inning, a sacrifice fly by Luis Rengifo secured a commanding 6-0 lead.

Closing the Deal
Though the Marlins chipped away at our lead with some late-game runs, we had an answer. The bottom of the 8th featured a massive 417-foot homer by Jorge Soler, providing the insurance run to make it 7-4.
Sealing the Win
In the 9th inning, Kenley Jansen closed the door, maintaining composure despite some Marlins' pressure and securing the win without allowing any further runs. Our lineup really stepped up today, from stellar hits to smart base running. Let's keep the momentum rolling, Angels! Until the next game at Angel Stadium, let’s celebrate this hard-fought victory!
