What a Win!
Marlins fans, rejoice! Our boys did it, shutting out the Los Angeles Angels 3-0. It was a game where pitching and defense shone, and solid hitting gave us the edge we needed. From the get-go, we showed stubborn resilience in the field and managed to capitalize on our scoring opportunities. The Momentum Shift
We broke through in the 3rd inning when Matt Mervis and Derek Hill hit back-to-back doubles. Then, Javier Sanoja stepped up with a sacrifice fly to center, bringing in the first run of the game. Our spirits were high and the momentum was clearly on our side, holding the Angels scoreless. In the 4th, Otto Lopez's hustle to steal second helped Connor Norby secure our second run. We rounded it off when Jesus Sánchez doubled to center in the 5th, allowing Sanoja to score again. Overall, a great showing for our lineup!
Sealing the Victory
Our pitching staff was on fire tonight, keeping the Angels' dangerous line-up at bay. A fantastic collaborative effort from our bullpen clinched the deal: great work by Bender, Faucher, and closing it up with a dominant performance from Henriquez. The Angels had a fleeting chance in the 6th with runners in scoring position, but we held strong and didn't give an inch. What a fantastic performance for Miami Marlins fans to savor! Let’s keep this momentum going all season long. Let's go, Marlins!
