Tough Day for the Fish
Oh, Marlin's faithful, today was not what we hoped for. The Miami Marlins faced off against the Los Angeles Dodgers, and things didn't quite go our way. Despite a strong start from Xavier Edwards, who tripled then scored thanks to Dane Myers’ single, it was the Dodgers who dominated the day. Our Lone Bright Spots
Dane Myers and Otto Lopez brought some spirit to the plate with valuable hits, with Myers tirelessly landing singles throughout the evening. Ronny Simon also managed to knock in a run to keep our spirits afloat, but the relentless scoring from the Dodgers presented an uphill battle for our Fish. Dodgers’ Offensive Powerhouse
The Dodgers were hot at bat from the start. Shohei Ohtani launched a homer, setting the first-inning tone. Freddie Freeman consistently got on base, while Teoscar Hernández drove in runs and a series of doubles from various players allowed the Dodgers to extend their lead. Andy Pages's homer later on added insult to injury. Their well-tuned offense showcased why they are formidable opponents.Pitching Struggles
Our pitchers, Sandy Alcantara and George Soriano, had a tough time reigning in the Dodgers' heavy hitters. Wild pitches and a few mishaps allowed LA to capitalize on opportunities that eventually led them to a 15-2 victory.Moving On
As much as it is tough to swallow this one, our Marlins will bounce back. Baseball is a long season, and days like this are just part of the journey. Let’s regroup and give our full support as the team heads into the next game. Stay strong, fellow fans!
