Tough Day for the Brew Crew

Well, fellow Brewers fans, it was a tough outing today against the Marlins, ending in a 5-1 defeat. 😞 The game started with a consistent pitching duel, with both teams unable to get on the scoreboard until the third inning. Although the Brewers put up a valiant fight, they couldn’t quite match the Marlins' scoring.

Bright Spots in the Lineup

Our lone run came courtesy of outfielder Jackson Chourio, who powered through with a 405-foot homer in the fourth inning, tying the game at 1. 🚀 It was a beautiful shot that momentarily bolstered our spirits at American Family Field. Isaac Collins contributed with a double in the 7th but sadly couldn’t find his way home to do more damage. Andrew Vaughn also made a firm connection with a single in the 2nd inning, adding some hope in the early going.

Missed Opportunities and Defensive Struggles

Unfortunately, the Brewers fell victim to a few defensive blunders. Blake Perkins had a tough time in center field, with a crucial error in the 7th, allowing the Marlins to capitalize and rock forward with three vital runs. Additionally, Tyler Black faced a rough moment in the 9th when a fielding error provided Kyle Stowers a safe passage to first base. Despite our resilient bullpen kept us in it for large portions of the game, these mishaps were too much to overcome. Let’s keep our heads up and look forward to bouncing back soon! ⚾ 💙
