Tough Loss Against the Marlins
The Brewers fought hard, but unfortunately, we were unable to overcome the early deficit against the Marlins.
Early Struggles in the First Inning
The game started rough for our Brewers. In the top of the 1st inning, Bryan De La Cruz's two-run homer and Jake Burger's solo shot put the Marlins ahead 3-0 right from the get-go.
Bouncing Back in the 3rd and the 4th
Rhys Hoskins gave us some life in the bottom of the 3rd inning with a solo homer to left center!
Solid Defense in the Middle Innings
The Brewers' defense finally found its footing in the middle innings. Borrowing the momentum, Justin Peralta and the bullpen settled down and managed to keep the Marlins at bay, preventing any more runs from scoring until the 9th inning.Missed Opportunities to Close the Gap
Despite the momentum shift, we missed several chances to close the gap. In the 6th inning, Jackson Chourio's leadoff double was left stranded, and a single by Blake Perkins in the 5th went to waste with his attempt to stretch it into a double getting him out.Final Push Falls Short
The Marlins added an insurance run in the 9th inning with Josh Bell's solo home run. The Brewers showed some fight in the bottom of the 9th, with Contreras' single and Eric Haase drawing a walk giving us hope. But the rally was cut short with Joey Ortiz and Andruw Monasterio striking out to end the game.Looking Ahead
While today wasn't our day, there were flashes of brilliance that give us hope for the next game. Let's bounce back, Brewer Nation! We'll be back stronger!
